Decided to quickly put together a synthwave styled track , based on Patch 100 from 3rd Wave - Dynamica Volume 1 - Patch Name 'SM Love the Wave'

Only spent a few hours on this tonight, so far from a completed masterpiece, mainly just to let folks see that inspiration or ideas CAN come from one patch that may inspire you, or trigger something that leads you to create something special!

To accompany the patch - I added a few other custom sounds, from

4 - Prophet 6 - Main Lead (Patch048 - SM Smooth Lead - from Divinity Vol.1)
5 - UB-Xa Sub When Main Lead Comes in - (patch 58 - SM Reese Bass from Sonorous Vol.2)
6 - UDO Super-6 - Bell like arp (PatchB3 - SM Check That Pulse from Virtuality Vol.1)
7 - Drums are LM1

A SOUND ENGINE MADE FOR US BY KODAMO

At the core of Elyra there is a powerful and beautiful sound engine created for us by Kodamo.

It is a virtual analog engine based on substractive synthesis with just enough FM synthesis to offer a vast sound territory.

It has many parameters to sculpt and create a unique sound.




RAISED TOUCH BUTTONS

All Elyra buttons are touch sensitive pads made up of a slightly raised area allowing the user to feel physical feedback.

This is capacitive sensor technology which offers an extremely fast response time of 2 ms.

There are 5 distinct areas on the main panel:

the fretboard composed of 4 * 12 pads

the strumming area separated into two type, A and B

two assignable slider

an OLED screen with its wheel and its 8 contextual buttons"

NAMM 2024 - Groove Synthesis - 3rd Wave Desktop

"At NAMM 2024, we met with Kurt from Groove Synthesis to explore the latest offering from the company, the Third Wave Desktop, featuring the new 1.7 operating system update. This update brings significant enhancements to the synth, including an improved virtual analog waveform oscillator and the incorporation of sequential Prophet VS wavetables. A major addition is MPE support and Kurt showed us the modulation routings for MPE parameters, allowing users to leverage Y-axis control and polyphonic aftertouch, bringing expressive capabilities to the forefront.

Kurt also demonstrated the more gnarly side of the 3rd Wave by disabling interpolation and navigating through individual parts of the wave for glitchy effects. The synth is not limited to virtual analog sounds; it offers FM modulation with 3-operator FM capabilities, providing users with a diverse sonic palette.

So here it is, my first bank of 2024 and first instalment for the Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave. This custom bank took longer than I had anticipated due to the multi-timbrality features of the 3rd Wave. This Bank contains over 225 individual sounds over the 100 Custom Patches.

Many of these Patches have 1, 2, 3 or even 4 sounds per patch, and it is always worth hitting the Play button on the sequencer to see what surprises it may bring :)

Bank contains, Leads, Basses, Strings, Arps, Splits, Binaural, Drums, Keys and the expected lush pads.

I have loved programming this synth, it is an absolute pleasure to work with! Hats off to a great synth with a fantastic UI design by the Groove Dudes.
